Indie IPO is a game played for entertainment. It is not an investment platform, a broker, an exchange or a securities offering, and nothing here is financial advice.

No monetary value

Virtual cash, shares and cosmetic items have no monetary value. They cannot be bought with, exchanged for, redeemed for, or transferred into money or anything else of value, and they cannot be transferred between accounts. Leaderboard position earns bragging rights and nothing else. There are no prizes.

Purchases

Anything purchasable is a licence to display a cosmetic item on your own account. Purchases never affect cash, prices, fills, position limits, rate limits or ranking. Items are account-bound and cannot be resold or transferred. Every paid placement visible to other players is labelled SPONSORED. Placements, firm names, logos and blurbs must not contain profanity or abuse; we remove any that do, and a paid placement we remove is refunded.

Payments are taken by Stripe in US dollars; any sales tax is added at checkout. An item appears in your inventory once Stripe confirms the payment. If something you bought does not arrive or does not work, email [email protected] within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you. A refunded item is removed from your account. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Listed companies

Company names, logos and figures are shown for identification only, sourced from TrustMRR. Listed companies have not opted into this game and are not affiliated with, or endorsing, Indie IPO. Any founder may claim their ticker or ask for it to be removed, and removals are honoured within 24 hours. Takedown requests: use the form on any ticker page, or email [email protected].

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. One firm per person. Accounts created to farm extra starting cash, and accounts that collude to move prices, may be merged, reset, hidden from leaderboards or removed. Accounts may be reset or removed for abuse. We may change the game's parameters; current values are always published on How to play.

No warranty

The game is provided as is. We do not guarantee availability, and market data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date below changes when we do, and continuing to play means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Questions: [email protected].
